Mary Wong is a playground safety professional with over 25 years of experience in inspection, assessment, training and consultancy. She founded Play Safe Consultancy Company Limited in 2009 to provide independent, professional and internationally informed playground safety services, including design safety reviews, inspections, training and specialist consultancy.
Mary holds playground inspection qualifications from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia, including CPSI, RPII Annual Outdoor and Indoor Inspector, CCPI, and PSIA Level 1 Routine Visual, Level 2 Operational and Level 3 Comprehensive Playground Safety Inspector certifications.
Since 2010, Mary has served as Chief Playground Safety Inspector for the Hong Kong Housing Authority, carrying out bi-annual safety audits across public housing estates. Together with her team, she has been involved in the inspection and auditing of more than 13,000 items of playground and fitness equipment in Hong Kong.
Since 2011, she has also delivered customised playground safety training to construction companies, property management organisations, government bodies and other industry practitioners in Hong Kong and overseas, training more than 400 professionals.
Mary has worked on projects in Mainland China, Macao, Thailand, Vietnam and Singapore, applying her international qualifications across different playground safety standards and frameworks.

Our Qualifications
Playground Safety Inspectors Australia (PSIA) provides training and competency assessment for playground safety inspectors in Australia, covering Routine Visual, Operational and Comprehensive inspection levels in accordance with relevant Australian playground safety standards.
Certified Canadian Playground Inspectors (CCPI) are trained by "Canadian Playground Safety Institute" to assess playgrounds to CSA Z614:20 standards.
The Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) is accredited by National Recreational Park Association (NRPA) in U.S for the recognition and prevention of the potential playground hazards.
The Register of Play Inspectors International (RPII) is the official UK body for examining, accrediting and certificating inflatable, indoor and outdoor play inspectors.
